Hello, my name is Maria Merola, and I am the founder of this ministry. Back in 1981, YHWH called me out of the world and out of paganism into a walk of faith with him through Yahu'shua (Jesus), the Jewish Messiah. Like Abraham the father of our faith, (who left the land of the Chaldeans), I was brought into covenant relationship with my heavenly Father. Since that time, there has been a progression of leaving behind those things which hinder faith and coming into a deeper understanding of what it means to "cross over" like Abraham did, when he crossed over from paganism into a life of being set apart and sanctified before YHWH Elohim (God).

The Hebrew word for "Hebrew" comes from a root word which means "to cross over" and this means that being a Hebrew is more than just about physical lineage and DNA. It is about leaving behind idolatry and false religious systems of this world into a life of faith in YHWH Elohim and his son Yahu'shua ha'Mashiach (Jesus the Messiah).

Since February 10, 1981, (when I was first "born again"), I have known that I was being prepared for a unique work of the Holy Spirit in the final end time harvest. Many times in prayer and through the prophetic words of others, the phrase "for such a time as this" would resound in my ears. I knew early on that I was being called to be like Esther/Hadassah to bring salvation to the Jewish people---my own people, and in the process see the Gentiles saved as well.

During a season of much prayer and fasting back in the early 1980’s I asked YHWH "what is it, Father, that you have called me to do with my life?"

The answer he gave me was startling. He said "Maria, I want you to warn my people about the religion of the anti-messiah."

Back in 1997, during another season of prayer, the word of YHWH came to me again to read Ezekiel 3, and I was commanded to be a “watchman” to the house of Israel, to warn them about false doctrines that have come into the church to deceive the masses. I was shown also through Ezekiel 19 at this same time to “nourish” and to be like a “mother lioness” to two lion’s whelps.

These two lion’s whelps are Ephraim & Judah, (Jew & Gentile believers). Both groups have been taken captive by Egypt (the world and bondage to sin) and Babylon (false religious mixture).

After much prayer, prophetic dreams, visions, and confirmation out of the mouth of “two or three witnesses,” YHWH has now given me the open door to start birthing this ministry. This ministry is called “Double Portion Inheritance.”

What is the “Double Portion Inheritance”? 

During the summer of 2007, while I was in a season of intense prayer and fasting, I was shown through scripture and through divine revelation, that the “Double Portion” anointing which rested upon the prophet Elisha, is that of Elijah & Moses.

This is the very same anointing which rested on Yahu'shua himself, which is why he was seen at the Mount of Transfiguration with both Moses & Elijah (Matthew 17:3-4).

With these two anointings of Moses & Elijah comes the perfect balance and harmony of Law & Prophets, Spririt & Truth, Wisdom & Revelation, Mercy & Judgment.  

The "Double Portion" is the inheritance handed down from Jacob/Israel to his son Joseph (who was a type of Messiah) in Genesis 48. Joseph had two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh. But it was Ephraim, (the younger of the two) which is metaphorically and prophetically symbolized as the "Gentile" Christian believers in Yahu'shua (Jesus). Because Ephraim was raised by an Egyptian mother under paganism, he thought that he was a Gentile or a "stranger." But because Ephraim had the blood of his Hebrew father Joseph in his veins, he was an heir to the covenant of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Israel) his grandfather.

In the same way, those who are born again believers in Yahu'shua (Jesus), who have been raised in a heathen society dictated by pagan customs, are considered “Gentiles” yet because of their faith in Y'shua the Messiah, they actually possess in them the blood/life of the Jewish Messiah and this means that these born again Gentiles are “Jewish” by the blood of Yahu'shua/Jesus (Romans 2:28-29).

Ephraim thought he was an Egyptian, because he and his brother Manasseh were raised as an Egyptians. But when their grandfather Jacob/Israel prayed the blessing over them he declared "Let my name be named upon them" and this is when they realized that their true inheritance was with Israel!

Jacob/Israel also gave a portion of his blessing to his son Judah (Yehudah in Hebrew), who later became a tribe which we today call “Jews” or Yahu'dim in Hebrew. (Genesis 49:8-10)

To his favorite son Joseph, Jacob/Israel gave the “Double Portion Blessing” (Genesis 48:22) and this represents the ministry of Yahu'shua the Messiah. Yahu'shua, like Joseph has inherited the tribe of Ephraim through his marriage to the Christian Gentile Church and he has also inherited the house of Judah his brother (Jews) by virtue of the Heavenly Father's marriage to Rachel (Jews). And so Yahu'shua inherits both houses: Ephraim & Judah. In other words, the remnant of the Christians in the Church who come out of Mystery Babylon (Revelation 18:4) and realize their inheritance with Israel make up the "stick of Ephraim" (10 Northern Tribes of Israel). And then the Jews who end up finding Y'shua as their Messiah make up the "stick of Judah" (2 Southern Tribes of Israel). And together these two "sticks" become ONE STICK IN THE HAND OF YHWH (Ezekiel 37:16-17)

These two tribes of Ephraim & Judah make up the distinct 12 tribes of Israel.

In Ezekiel 37:16-17, we are given a prophecy about these two tribes Judah & Ephraim coming together and becoming “one stick” in the hand of YHWH.

What brings these two tribes together?

In Ephesians 2:15, the Apostle Paul (Shaul) tells us that Yahu'shua has abolished this man-made ordinance by the Rabbis which prevented the Gentiles from coming near the outer court of the temple. By the blood of Yahu'shua, Gentiles who were once alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, have now been brought near to the temple because he has broken down the middle wall of partition which divided Jew & Gentile, so as to make of the “Two Tribes” (Judah & Ephraim) ONE NEW MAN!

Yahu'shua is now building us together into “One New Man” in the Olive Tree (Romans 11:17-21) natural branches (Jews) and the wild branches (Gentiles) are now being called by the Holy Spirit to form a “corporate” army of end time prophets who will preach an uncompromising Apostolic message in these last days that will shake the world and turn it upside down!

The “two witnesses” of Revelation 11:4 are “the two candlesticks” and the “two olive trees.” These "two candlesticks" are shown to us in Revelation 1:20 as the overcoming churches, which are Smyrna & Philadelphia. The two olive trees, are the "wild & natural" branches or in other words these two divided kingdoms of Israel (10 Northern Tribes & 2 Southern Tribes) which are the tribes of Ephraim & Judah (Jew & Gentile Believers in Yeshua) who come together carrying the anointing of Moses & Elijah (Revelation 11:6).

The Messianic Believers who have the Law of Moses (Torah) bring the element of the anointing of Moses, and the Gentile Believers who flow more freely in the gifts of the Holy Spirit carry the anointing of Elijah (Spirit). When these two groups come together in “Spirit & Truth” bringing together the elements of “Law & Prophets” it will bring with it the most powerful anointing and outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the history of mankind!

In order for believers to walk in the "Double Portion Anointing", we must have both of these elements working in perfect harmony in Yahu'shua the Messiah.

The 1st Century Jewish Apostles had this double portion anointing,  and we read about it in the book of Acts. They moved in signs, wonders and the miraculous, but they also taught from the Law of Moses (Torah) every Sabbath day.

Contrary to popular belief, the Apostles did not teach that the Law of Moses was abolished, but rather they taught that the Law of Moses has now been written upon our hearts and minds on the Day of Pentecost (called Shavuot), with the Baptism in Fire & the Holy Spirit.

The Law “contained in ordinances” which were the man-made decrees by the Rabbis were “abolished” (Ephesians 2:14-15). And the Levitical Priesthood is now superceded by a heavenly Priesthood called the “Zadok” (Tsedek or righteous) priesthood. This is the same order of priests which all born again believers are called to be a part of. Yahu'shua has now brought in a new “administration” (2nd Corinthians 3) after the order of Melchizedek "Malki Tsedek" (meaning King of righteousness, Hebrews 7). Every born again believer is called to be part of this royal priesthood under our High Priest, Y'shua (1st Peter 2, Revelation 1:6, 5:10, 20:6).

Maria desires to share this vision with others who have a calling to birth "Double Portion Inheritance" Congregations, here in Fredericksburg Virginia and around the world. Maria does not want to be a "pastor" or a congregation leader. Her only role is to share the vision with other married couples who are interested in taking the "baton" and to start running with it.

Here is what the vision entails:

We desire to raise up Congregations that bring together Jews & Gentiles in Messiah, Yahu'shua (Jesus), and to raise up, train and mobilize the "Two Witness" army of Revelation 11:4 (The Two Candlesticks and the Two Olive Trees).

The mission of this congregation is to educate the Christian Church about the Hebraic Roots of the Faith and to lay the foundation once again on the doctrine of the 1st Century Jewish Apostles (Pre-Constantine Era; Ephesians 2:20).

The mission is also to reach out to the Jews, and to share with them the Messianic prophecies of the Old Testament (Tanakh), thereby giving them the opportunity to receive Yahu'shua/Jesus as their Messiah. We will also be reaching out to those Messianic Jews who believe in Yahu'shua as their Messiah and introducing to them the move of the Pentecostal experience through the 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit (1st Corinthians 12 &14).

The model for this type of "First Century" Faith style congregation would involve conducting services every Sabbath day (Friday Nights at Sunset through Saturday Sunset) with in-depth teaching on Bible Prophecy, Church History and other relevant issues dealing with Israel, the church and where we stand today in relationship to prophecy.

The ministry will also be expanding into other church plants. The first model will be in Fredericksburg Virginia. There will be other subsequent plants as the Holy Spirit leads us.
